May: Another year ticks by

April: GREAT trip to Jamaica with the Eller's of Virgina, HOT and HUMID, but cool pool and beverages were great. Enjoyed the relaxation and new experiences.

March: Easter in North Myrtyle Beach, at a rented home with family and Friends. In attendance were:

Fourth Quarter 2009

December: Annual Volz Holiday Party was a great success with about 80 friends, co-workers and family enjoying wonderful food and beverages.

Novermber: The NC Volz made there way up to Long Island to entomb Harry's ashes over Thanksgiving, spending several days at Gurney's Inn, Montauk, NY. It was one of Harry's favorite spots. The somberness of Thanksgiving continured as Don passed away 30 November 2009 and everyone with the exception of Emily, who couldn't leave her base, made the trek to Wisconsin after a few days back in NC.

Two folded flags, vollies of gun fire in one year is very tough and the emptiness is greater.

October: The Volz joined the Colemans and the Kohorns in Las Vegas for Don's 72 birthday. We all made the trip because down deep we knew this would be the last for him.

Third Quarter 2009

A realatively good beginning that slowly started a spiral of questions, pain and loss.
